I've always loved this song! Words and music by: Clara W. McMaster | |
| Whenever I hear the song of a bird And look at the blue, blue sky Whenever I feel the rain on my face Or the wind as it rushes by Whenever I touch a velvet rose Or walk by a lilac tree I’m glad that I live in this beautiful world Heavenly Father created for me He gave me my eyes that I might see The colorful butterfly wings He gave me my ears that I might here The magical sounds of things He gave me my life, my mind, my heart I thank him reverently for all his creations Of which I’m apart Yes, I know Heavenly Father loves me |

This was my fifth school year at USDB at times it got a bit stressful -
But if you know me I like to keep things on high note -
Highlights for the school year:
One of my students that I've had for past 3 years, every day when I'd walk in the classroom. She'd tell me she loved me and say I had beautiful hair. Also that she loved Hannah Montana as well and she always put a smile on my face. She also learned how to write her name this year and that was a happy day!!!:DWe went on cool field trips like The Corn Maze, Tracy Avery, Zoo, Oh and I would read this book called "Polar Bear What Do You Hear". It goes though different zoo animals and I can do a sweet elephant sound that the students enjoyed. When we saw elephants at the zoo, the student had to do their interpretation of elephant sound. I couldn't stop laughing - "Zuri" the baby elephant cute...
We also went skiing, horse backing riding, did Festival of Tree's at Christmas time, The Childrens Museum, where we lost one of the students eye ball - I honestly never thought I'd ever say that but with 3 students without eyes, I guess it's something that was bound to happen.
I introduced the song "Corn Dogs" by Ryan Shupe, it was a hit!! We even made a week long event out of it. We made pigs in a blanket, tossed plastic corn dogs, rolled students in a blanket and sang the song a lot. Then at the end of the week we ate corn dogs - they thought it was awesome!!!
I wish all my students the best in all they do and that they continue to keep learning and move forward.

As you hold these candies in your hand
and turn them, you will see
The ‘M’ becomes a ‘W’,
An ‘E’, and then a ‘3′.
They tell the Christmas Story
I’m sure it’s one you know.
It took place in a stable
A long, long time ago.
The ‘E’ is for the East,
Where the star shone so bright.
The ‘M’ is for the Manger,
where the Baby Jesus slept at night.
The ‘3′ is for the Wise Men,
Bearing gifts, with which they came.
‘W’ is for Worship,
Hallelujah! Praise His Name!
So as you eat these candies
Or share them with a friend,
Remember the meaning of Christmas:
It’s a love that never ends.
